Welcome to MDU1133: Introduction to Community Based Health Promotion, a comprehensive micro-credential course designed to equip learners with foundational and applied knowledge on community-based health promotion. This course is designed to provide an introductory understanding of the basic concepts, theories, skills, and resources on health promotion. The course comprises nine structured units, each offering critical insights into the principles and practices that underpin effective health promotion strategies within diverse community settings. Learning will be enriched through interactive lectures, assignments, in-class discussions, group presentations, and community health promotion programme project. Students will explore various approaches to community-based health promotion which will be fostering both critical thinking and practical competence.
