  Welcome to Bidayuh Language for Beginners!

  We hope you will have a wonderful time and learn a lot about communicating in the Bidayuh Language using basic vocabulary and expressions. 

  
  

  
  

  Course Information

  By the end of the course you should be able to:

  • identify basic vocabulary and expressions in Bidayuh
  • use basic Bidayuh vocabulary and expressions to communicate in various situations
  • apply appropriate sociocultural practices in communicating in Bidayuh
  • The course comprises six learning units:

  1.  Numbers, time and seasons
  2. Self-introduction
  3. Daily activities, routines, and hobbies
  4. Food and beverages
  5. Shopping
  6. Directions
  

  Do try and complete the exercises and activities embedded in the learning units. 

  
  Course Synopsis
  
  This is an introductory course on the Bidayuh language and culture for beginners. The course exposes students to basic Bidayuh vocabulary and expressions to enable them to communicate in various situations. Appropriate sociocultural aspects in Bidayuh communication such as politeness are also introduced.
