    This Multimedia Technology and Design MOOC course is brought to you proudly by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). In this course we will introduce you to the past, current and future of multimedia technology. We will explore trends, techniques, tools and technology related to digital multimedia technology. We will cover both theoretical and practical aspects of designing multimedia products. You will learn core concepts and acquire various skills in multimedia production.



    Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to: 

    •Define the concept of multimedia technology
    •Identify multimedia design guidelines
    •Identify technologies that support multimedia application development


    Student Learning Hours: Minimum of 2 hours per week (for each unit)



    Ts. Syahrul Nizam Junaini is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). He received MSc in Electronic Imaging & Media Communications (Multimedia Systems) from University of Bradford, UK.  He is also a certified entrepreneurial educator from University College Dublin. His research interest focuses in the areas of e-business usability and collaborative learning.

    Jonathan Sidi is currently a Senior Lecturer of Computer Science at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). He received his Master in Interactive Multimedia from University of Technology Sydney, Australia. His research interests include Interactive multimedia and multimedia interface design.
