Welcome to English for Self Expression
For Semester 1 2015/2016The course introduces students to the use of the English language for self- expression both in oral and written forms. It develops students’ fluency and confidence in using the language through their engagement in critical and creative activities such as critique and dramatisation. Students will be taught various forms of the language to communicate their ideas and opinions effectively.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to:
•express opinions and emotions effectively in the language using various forms of self-expression•analyse the language forms used in selected materials•produce various forms of creative expressions•discuss issues presented in selected materialsStudent Learning Hours: Minimum of 2 hours per week (for each unit)
