Activity 4.2: Meet the Experts Lecture

On the surface level, it seems that Dr. Geoff Norman gave a different take from Dr. Patrick Croskerry. He emphasized on the importance of expertise, and the effectiveness of Type 1 or System 1 cognitive process. Yet, at the core of their presentations, both advocated an important concept - both Type 1 and Type 2 cognitive processes are vital in ensuring a calibrated diagnostic consideration.

The challenge would be how do we know when to use Type 1 and when to use Type 2 and can we really draw a line between Type 1 activation and Type 2 activation.  This lecture intends to give a more balanced view on the dual process theory.
